Volunteering
EAAMO and EAAMO Bridges are always open to volunteers who want to help make our events more open, diverse, and accessible. Whether you're a student, a professional, or someone who simply cares about social good, we welcome your enthusiasm and skills. Volunteering with us is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a vibrant community, learn from experts, and make a real impact. If you're interested in volunteering, we would love to have you on board! Please reach out to us at membership@eaamo.org.
In the past installments of ACM EAAMO conferences, we had the following positions:
Volunteer Positions:
Registration Volunteer (During the conference): Assist at the registration booth, giving badges to participants and answering their questions about session locations.
A/V Volunteer (During the conference): Support the A/V team at Boston University in setting up talks, coordinating discussions, and ensuring smooth livestreaming on Zoom and YouTube.
Social Media Positions:
Twitter Announcements Curator (Pre-conference): Create engaging posts for announcements, curate threads about keynote speakers and session themes.
Throwbacks Curator (Pre-conference): Share #EAAMO2023-related content to generate excitement.
Day Captains (During the conference): Manage social media queries and approve posts during assigned time periods.
Session Tweeting (During the conference): Live-tweet sessions to provide real-time updates and insights.
Quick Response (Session Support) (During the conference): Assist session chairs and respond to social media queries promptly.
Audience Interaction Profiles (During the conference): Conduct interviews with attendees for post-conference write-ups.
Session/Keynote Summaries (Post-conference): Write social media posts and blogs summarizing sessions and keynotes.
Note: Registration and A/V volunteer roles require in-person attendance. If you have travel and accommodation covered, consider these roles along with others.
